Head-of-the-Lake Land Trust
a program of the Hamilton Naturalists’ Club
For Nature, Forever
The Head-of-the-Lake Land Trust (HLT) is a volunteer-driven program of the Hamilton Naturalists’ Club, a registered charitable organization that works to protect nature in the Hamilton area.
The HLT is committed to protect land and to ensure the land is cared for in perpetuity. We accomplish this by:
- working with landowners and conservation partners to identify and protect key properties and features for nature and for future generations,
- providing information to landowners on the options available for permanent conservation of their natural lands, and on the tax and other financial benefits that can be realized through donations of land,
- managing several nature sanctuaries which encompass hundreds of acres of permanently protected land, through the work of many volunteers,
- initiating projects to naturalize areas in the urban landscape and to foster a love of nature in students, our future stewards of the land.
Have you wondered how you can protect your land forever?
We can help.
